Linking research to operations in association with public and private organisations is vital to facilitate knowledge-share and technology transfers required to identify and implement the most efficient and environmentally-sound technical solutions and policies available. As an international consulting company, it is important for Consia that it is at the forefront of knowledge in the area of their expertise. Consia is therefore currently designing a research programme together with larger Danish companies, which aims at developing appropriate systems for improving road safety in developing countries based on applied research. Consia is pursueing international, academic associations in Europe and the USA.    Consia is working on a research project to determine the potential of certain grass types to protect slopes in cuts. It is far less expensive and more environmentally friendly to use natural resource management and in most cases it is more labour intensive. It may thus provide better welfare distribution and thereby support poverty alleviation programmes.Consia is working on developing Vertiver grass programmes in Latin America and Asia.
